Does Google have any preferential treatment with Tumblr sites? It seems that way.
Here’s what I experienced.
I created a Blogger site called Just Nuggets a week ago but I was only able to do only two posts. I submitted the URL to Google and after a day I’ve already seen that the big “G” has crawled it (cache:justnuggets.blogspot.com).
However, with this Tumblr site of the same name, until now I couldn’t see it in Google after submitting it to them 3 days ago.
I’ve read things that Tumblr has improved its system so that it would be easier for Google to crawl and rank their sites. But I’m not quite sure yet if Tumblr is really a good platform to get visitors via search engines.
If only Blogger isn’t blocked from the office.
After hours of searching, I was finally able to put adsense ads at the bottom of my single posts without them showing in the front page.
I checked how people embed DISQUS comment system and use it for my adsense script instead.
What you need to do is to find the <div id=”footer”> and place your code above it.
Your code above the footer div should look like this:
{block:Permalink}
Place your Google code in between these tags
{/block:Permalink}
That’s it. That’s how it worked for me.
Since my blog is new, I need to let popular search engines to know about it. It’s no good to keep on posting hot topics but Google doesn’t know your site exists. By the time search engines starts crawling my blog, my latest news would be stale.
So here are the links for submission of site to the big three search engines: Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft’s Bing.

When that’s taken care of, it’s time to write some posts and visit blogs to leave comments and trackback URL’s.
So why Just Nuggets? What is this site all about?
Just Nuggets is an experiment I’m doing to see how quickly Google can crawl your site if your posts are all about the hottest search keywords from Google.
I named this site Just Nuggets because I won’t be doing long posts. Just nuggets of information that you really need.
Let’s see how this pans out.
